Very young Chinese brand Jaecoo is another creation of the Chery Automobile Co. Ltd concern, which has long been known on the global market. The new trademark was first mentioned in 2023, when the J7 crossover was presented (in the PRC market, it is offered under the name 7). The main goal is the development and release of more premium cars, which are intended for export.

First model

Immediately after the presentation, the Jaecoo crossover (literal translation "cool hunter") was presented in all dealer centers around the world. This also affected the Russian sector, where the Cherry concern has long been operating.

The novelty is positioned as a universal car that is equally well suited for urban use, light off-road driving, and long trips. In essence, this is the Chery TJ-1 crossover, which has received an updated radiator grille and a number of other visual and technical innovations. The car is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine, which is supplemented by a turbine. Due to this, it is capable of producing 186 horsepower at its peak. At the same time, modifications with front and all-wheel drive are provided.

According to the statement of the company's representatives, in the near future, a more massive model should appear, the basis of which will be the Chery Tiggo 9.
