Tires on Iveco Daily (Ивесо)

Iveco Daily is a light commercial vehicle, representing a large van. It has been produced since 1978. In the lineup of light commercial vehicles of the brand, it is located above the Ducato, differing from it not only in its larger capacity and payload, but also in the use of a ladder-type frame instead of a bearing body. It is the longest-produced model of the Italian brand, having been in serial production for over four decades. During this time, around 4 million units of this van have been sold. Until 1983, it was produced under the Fiat brand, which owns the Iveco brand.

First Generation

This model debuted in 1978. It represented a utility commercial vehicle, versatile in application, thanks to the frame, which allowed for the expansion of possibilities for the production of modifications of various purposes. At the start of sales, not only a van was offered, but also a separate chassis with a single or double cab. This made it possible to discontinue two commercial models - 212 and 616N. From 1982, the inscription "Iveco" began to appear on the radiator grille, which was already being used everywhere on all versions of this vehicle by the following year. In 1984, the brand presented a four-wheel drive modification, and in 1985 - the TurboDaily. These versions were equipped with a turbocharged diesel engine with a volume of 2.5 liters, which, depending on the degree of boost, developed from 72 to 95 horsepower. In 1990, the brand presented a restyled version of the commercial vehicle, which by that time had become one of the most popular in the lineup. It received a completely redesigned cabin, as well as a modernized engine with a volume of 2.5 liters. Another update was carried out in 1996, which was limited to minor changes in the exterior and the appearance of a power unit with a volume of 2.8 liters and a power of 103 or 122 horsepower.

Second Generation

The second-generation vehicle appeared in 1999. While maintaining the previous layout, the model differed from its predecessor in a redesigned front end, where new headlights appeared. The name "TurboDaily" was no longer used, as "atmospheric" engines disappeared from the engine range. All power units were not only equipped with turbocharging but also with a Common Rail fuel injection system. In addition, two new modifications appeared, one of which was equipped with a transmission with electronic control, and the other used natural gas as fuel. The engine range began to change just a few years after the launch of serial production. The changes affected the most popular engine with a volume of 2.8 liters, which gradually became more powerful. Its most productive version developed 143 horsepower. In 2003, the vehicle began to be equipped with a new diesel engine F1A with a volume of 2.3 liters, which was more compact and equipped with a Common Rail fuel injection system of the second generation. In 2004, modifications with a 3-liter engine F1C with a chain in the gas distribution mechanism and a power of up to 164 horsepower appeared, depending on the version.

Third Generation

In the summer of 2014, the third-generation van was presented. This model was new not only externally but also technically, with the exception of the engine range, which was borrowed from the predecessor. The use of a new platform made it possible to significantly expand the list of modifications - up to 8,000 variants. Another important innovation was the reduction of the loading height by 55 mm, as well as the reduction of overhangs. In addition, the front suspension underwent a deep modernization, thanks to which the van became better manageable, providing a much smoother ride. The standard equipment included a stability control system, and the additional equipment included lane departure warning and a rearview camera, along with a pneumatic suspension that allows changing the loading height. The vehicle, starting from the first generation, has been enjoying well-deserved popularity among carriers, which can be judged by the demand for tires and wheels for this model in the online store "Mosavtoshina".
