The mid-size crossover Haima S5 was first introduced in 2014. The car is still in production, having gone through two generations of modifications. The model is also available on the Russian market. The first generation of the crossover, which appeared in 2014, had a bright design for its time, which was more focused on young people. A large radiator grille with parallel chrome elements, large blocks of front optics (lens), the presence of stampings and decorative ribs on the sides of the car, enlarged arches - all created a massive and stylish silhouette.The engine compartment housed a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with 120 horsepower and 160 Nm. It was complemented only by a manual transmission. After a few months, a turbocharged version of this engine was also introduced, which developed 163 horsepower and 223 Nm. It was already complemented by a variator.
Generation 2
In fact, this was a deep facelift, given that the platform remained the same. But the innovations introduced in 2018 affected both the exterior and interior. The car received a fine-mesh radiator grille, narrower and more "predatory" front headlights, which were based on LEDs. The front and rear bumpers were changed, and the car as a whole became more effective.The engine range became more extensive: a 1.6-liter gasoline engine paired with a manual transmission, a 1.5-liter engine with a turbine, which was complemented by both a "mechanics" and a variator. In addition, a turbo engine with a volume of 1.2 liters began to be installed, which was aggregated with a "mechanics", automatic or variator.
Subsequently, a hybrid version of this model was also introduced, which received the name Haima R6. As for the Russian market, the car has also reached our region, although this happened not so long ago. Therefore, its distribution is not yet so extensive, but the number of instances is constantly increasing.
