The front suspension is made according to the McPherson scheme, the rear is a multi-link independent one, which is quite unusual for the budget segment.

The base versions' powerplant produces up to 27 horsepower and 85 Nm of torque. In the top version, the car offers 41 horsepower and 110 Nm. In both cases, a 1-stage planetary gearbox is used, providing smooth acceleration and linearity of traction control up to 100 km/h, when the automatic speed limiter kicks in. The traction battery with a capacity of 9.61 kWh, located under the floor of the salon in the base version, allows you to travel without recharging up to 120 kilometers. The top-end version with a more powerful motor is equipped with a 17 kWh battery, increasing the range to 200 kilometers. In both cases, batteries made using LFP technology are used, which are more resistant to charging cycles and thermal effects, and also allow the use of a charging device designed to work with DC power sources. In this case, the time to replenish the charge from 30 to 80% takes about 30 minutes.

Interior and "digital" environment

The desire to reduce production costs did not prevent Geely from using a modern interior with interesting design solutions. One of them was the visual combination of the instrument panel and multimedia system displays. In the first case, an 8-inch diagonal screen is used, and in the second - 9.2 inches. Along with Bluetooth support, remote control of several functions through a special smartphone app, USB ports, and a rear-view camera, this allowed us to move away from the utilitarian perception of the car while being inside it. With the same goal, inexpensive materials were used in the trim, but with bright colors and an unusual combination of surface textures, creating a feeling of this model as one of the elements of urban lifestyle.
The visibility deserves special attention. Due to the high seating position and almost vertical glazing, the Panda Mini feels more spacious inside than can be expected from its external dimensions. The electric motor provides an instant and linear response to the accelerator, so even the 27-horsepower version feels quite dynamic in dense traffic. The compact size and small turning radius are especially convenient in courtyards, on narrow streets, and in crowded parking spaces.

Due to the short wheelbase, the suspension responds stiffly to large bumps, but for urban environments, the settings are chosen successfully. The independent rear suspension helps to reduce shaking on rough terrain, and the small weight has a positive effect on energy efficiency. On the highway, the Panda Mini's capabilities are limited. Already at speeds of around 90-100 km/h, aerodynamic noises become noticeably stronger, and the traction reserve decreases. The concept of the model does not imply long trips. The main task of the Panda Mini is the most affordable and simple movement within the city.
