In the first case, a single electric motor with a power of 245 hp and a torque of 355 Nm is used under the hood, which drives the rear wheels, providing acceleration to "hundred" in 6.8 seconds. The top 800-volt versions offer 340 hp and 430 Nm, which accelerate the crossover to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. A common feature of both modifications is the settings of the powertrain control unit with an emphasis on comfort, which is combined with a sufficiently smooth ride, despite the presence of gull-wing doors.

Due to the difference in operating voltage, the car uses several variants of the traction battery, the capacity of which ranges from 70 to 99.5 kWh. Moreover, batteries manufactured using different technologies are used. The base versions have LFP batteries, while the top versions have NMC batteries, providing a range of up to 770 kilometers. They also differ in the onboard charging device, which allows you to replenish the energy reserve for approximately 400 kilometers of travel in just 10-15 minutes.

Interior with an emphasis on long-distance travel comfort

The interior space is noticeably different from most Chinese "classmates", which are focused exclusively on visual effects. Here, the developers have made an emphasis on passenger comfort, especially in the second row. The front panel is designed in a minimalist style with a large multimedia display and a compact digital instrument panel. The central screen has a diagonal of about 14.6 inches, and the interface is built around GAC's own operating system with support for "over-the-air" updates.

One of the most unusual features was the second-row seats. In the top trim, the right passenger gets a retractable footrest, and the back of the front seat folds almost into a horizontal position, turning the salon into a business-class airliner. Such a layout is rarely found even in more expensive electric SUVs. Acoustic comfort also plays an important role. The increased thickness of the glass, the active noise cancellation system, and the carefully designed aerodynamics make the Hyper HT noticeably quieter than most Chinese competitors. Even at high speeds, the noise from the wheel arches and mirrors remains moderate. The top versions are equipped with a Dolby Atmos audio system with 22 speakers. The car was one of the first GAC models with the new Xingling electronic architecture.
