Tire 30 week 22 year. At the time of purchase, 1 tire cost 6500, and was the cheapest studded tire in size 205/50 R17. And now about my instance.
In my case, the tire is a complete disappointment. It doesn't hold a blow. One hit in a good pothole and hello, punctured sidewall. After 2 years, I noticed that while driving, the steering wheel started to wobble in the speed range of 30-70 km/h, I thought maybe it was out of balance, BUT NO, it turned out that one wheel had become EGG-SHAPED! Plus, the cord started to come out... Well, further, to make it easy to describe the other qualities of the tire, I will take the evaluation criteria on the site as a basis
Ratings:
- Handling on dry road: On this tire, at temperatures from -10 to -5, I entered turns at speeds of 120-140 km/h and it held quite confidently (In my opinion, this tire is more suitable for Moscow or similar regions, where ice is only present on holidays)
- Handling on snow: On snow, it pulls within reasonable limits, I don't have a 4x4, but I got stuck in loose snow mostly due to low clearance
- Braking efficiency: depends mostly on the surface. On snow, it brakes so-so. On ice, it's generally AWFUL. On asphalt, moderate braking, doesn't float.
- Wear resistance: Didn't have time to evaluate, as the tire fell apart after 2 years) The tread may have worn off by 1-2 mm (after 20,000 km). The studs on the front axle fell out by 20%. I ran in the tire for about 1,000 km, not exceeding 100 km/h and avoiding sharp accelerations and braking.
- Resistance to aquaplaning: on my car, if you enter a puddle above 60-80 km/h, the car starts to throw
- Handling on wet road: Compared to my previous tire, Viatti Brina Nordico V522, handling on wet roads is very good, on that tire it was scary to brake, the car simply didn't stop and started to float
- Price justification: Neither here nor there. For me, it's not justified. The studs here are almost useless, and the difference at the time of purchase between this tire and a non-studded one was 2,000 rubles (studded 6,500 rubles and non-studded 4,500 rubles)
- Comfort while driving: In terms of noise, the tire is EXCELLENT, compared to my summer Continental ContiSportContact 5, this tire is 1.5 times quieter

- Handling on ice: THERE IS NONE! Well, more precisely, it's there, but only if you drive at tractor speed. Again, compared to Viatti, the studs are felt and sometimes help to start moving. Once I drove my friend's car, which had Nordman 8, and I was amazed at how the car starts moving on ice, it literally GRIPS the ice! And then I realized that the studs here are purely nominal. Without them, I don't understand what this tire is needed for, except for driving on dry asphalt at temperatures from -10 to -5
- Course stability: On asphalt, the car holds the road relatively well. On a snowy road, if the speed is above 60-80 km/h, it's scary to turn the steering wheel, the car literally starts to SLIDE!!!
- Quietness while driving: The tire is quiet (see above)
- Speed characteristics: On a snowy road (roads can be different: icy, icy with porridge, porridge with water, frozen porridge, rolled snow) mediocre. On asphalt, almost like in summer

I became the owner today. The size is 215 55 R17. When replacing, I noticed that the tire is lower than the summer Nexen NFerra, which also has a height of 55. Accordingly, the car sank, which is not ideal for winter, so it's better to take a 10mm higher one.
At the tire mounting shop, it took quite a long time to balance two out of the four tires, but they were installed immediately after long-distance transportation, so we'll see how it settles in. I expected it to be softer. For now, we're just driving on asphalt. We're not speeding, just cruising, to let it settle in properly! I tried to tear off a small piece - it didn't work, it stretches but doesn't break - the rubber is of good quality. My first impression is that the sidewall is quite soft. That's all for now, these are my first impressions. I'll be updating the review.

These tires are quite decent, I didn't expect good handling or braking from them, but they exceeded my expectations. Of course, I haven't had a chance to drive much on them yet since I changed the wheels, as a broken leg prevented me from doing so, but from what I've driven so far, I can confidently say that the tires are good. They hold the road normally on the highway, there's no skidding in sharp turns, and in the spring, they also feel fine on wet roads. They grip well on ice, and most importantly, the studs are still in place, although this is probably more due to the four-wheel drive, since it doesn't allow the car to spin out of control, like, for example, the Lancer. For a four-wheel drive wagon and other similar cars, or for drivers who don't want to spin out of control when accelerating, these tires will last a long time. The rubber compound seems normal to me, the sidewalls are moderately soft, and they absorb bumps well. In theory, it's an ideal compromise between softness and stiffness, and I hope that because of this, I won't get many bulges from our roads. There is some noise, as it's impossible to have no noise with studded tires, but it's not as loud as, for example, my previous Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 7000 or Dunlop Ice02. It would be strange if there was no noise on studded tires, as that would mean the studs aren't working, but here, the noise is moderate, and the traction on ice, snow, and asphalt is excellent. I have them in size 215/60/R16, that's about it.

It's not comfortable to drive, doesn't brake on ice or snow, when driving on a snowy road the tread gets clogged with snow and poorly self-cleans. On ice, it skids. It's too soft, after a long stand in the frost, the car starts to bounce until it rolls out. Before this tire, I had Hakka R8, the handling was 100%.

Beautiful, not noisy (except at the beginning during run-in), sturdy, good traction on snow, and also stable on ice. Overall, very satisfied with them!!!)

Over 500 km, in November, as I installed, on this tire I've already experienced temperatures from +0 to -30. The impressions are only positive, always predictable, excellent traction, entering turns confidently.
I compare it to Toyo Icefreezer, which I bought new on this same site for another vehicle. Toyo was very impressive, I wanted to buy it, but due to financial difficulties, I had to opt for Taurus... I haven't regretted it once at the time of writing this review. A completely justified purchase. Perhaps the sidewall is a bit too soft, but Toyo's was similar, as far as I remember. Before installing the new tires, I had Cordiant Snow Cross... very noisy, after hitting a shallow pothole at -3 degrees, one balloon was torn, and the second one had a puncture, so I had to buy new tires.
Of course, next time, if financially possible, I would choose Toyo, as it has a more interesting rubber compound and more studs, and it looks more serious... But Taurus is an excellent budget option. Let's see how long it lasts. I bought 17-inch 20550 for 5330 rubles per balloon. Essentially, this is the same price as Chinese tires... but I didn't hesitate to choose otherwise.
I give it 5 stars in all characteristics, because for this price, I doubt you can find anything better...

The advantages are that it's not noisy, and after 3 years of operation, only a couple of spikes came off. That's where the advantages end.
It doesn't hold the road, by the 3rd year of operation, the cord came out on the front wheel, all 4 wheels went "egg-shaped", although externally, judging by the condition of the spikes and the tread, it could still be driven for at least +4 seasons. At first, it seemed like the disk was crooked or the balancing was off, we removed it, took a look, and as a result, the tire is to be thrown away.

I am adding to my review: the tires performed excellently in winter. Over the season, I lost only 3 studs, which I consider to be an excellent result, given that about 80% of the total distance was covered with asphalt. The tires showed themselves to be excellent, both when braking sharply and when cornering. Probably their only drawback is that they are noisy, but it's tolerable.
