Winter tires Sentury approved for Volkswagen Tiguan

Chinese tire manufacturers are gradually mastering the prestigious segment of the European market's primary equipment, and last year on the German segment of the Internet, it was actively discussed that the summer tires Linglong were included in the Volkswagen Tiguan, and not so long ago it became known that another partner of the automaker in the region was the company Sentury, whose winter tires were approved for the same crossover. In addition, negotiations are underway with another European automotive company.

"Thanks to the excellent characteristics of the products and strict quality control, Sentury Tyres successfully passed the certification according to the standards of VW Group and became the official supplier of winter tires for Tiguan," the company said. "This partnership not only confirms the outstanding capabilities of Sentury Tyres in the field of implementing technological innovations and expanding the global market share, but also reflects the trust of the leading international automaker in the Sentury brand."

For Tiguan, Sentury WinterDragon tires are supplied - one of the latest novelties from the Chinese brand, designed for use in warm winter conditions and having a directional tread pattern that accelerates the drainage of water and slush from the contact patch. In addition, the rubber compound is optimized to maintain elasticity at low temperatures, and 3D lamellae improve handling in various weather conditions. The tires are available in 31 sizes from 155/65 R13 to 255/35 R19, and in the Euro marking system, they received ratings of C/D for economy, as well as B/C for grip on a wet surface and noise level.

In the Chinese market, Sentury collaborates with many major automakers, such as Ford, VW, Audi, Renault, Stellantis, GAC Toyota, Great Wall, Geely, BAIC and Chery.

The company adds that working in the OE sector helps to strengthen the brand's influence and recognition, as well as increase the market share and "step by step move towards becoming a world-class tire brand".

Sentury owns factories in China, Thailand and Morocco and produces, among other things, aircraft tires.
