Winter tires from Hercules
21 november 2012
In the winter season of 2012-2013, the company Hercules Tire & Rubber Co introduced three new products - Winter HIS-S, Winter HIS-L, and Ironman PolarTrax. All three models are distinguished by an increased content of silica in the rubber compound.
If we talk about the advantages of each tire separately, then the Hercules Winter HIS-L is characterized, first of all, by an improved lamella system, which allows for faster removal of moisture and snow from the contact patch with the road surface, as well as deep grooves and a directional tread pattern.
The Hercules Winter HIS-S are studded tires. They also feature a directional design. The basis of the tread pattern is a central rib, which improves steering response on winter roads. The grooves located on the sides quickly remove moisture and wet snow from the tread, preventing the occurrence of aquaplaning and slushplaning.
The latest novelty, Ironman PolarTrax, like the previous model described, can be studded. It also features a directional tread pattern and contains a higher percentage of silica in its composition, which increased the tire's traction.
