ZC Rubber to Double Capacity of Hangzhou Plant

The company ZC Rubber, a manufacturer of tires under such brands as Goodride and Westlake, announced that it plans to invest 1.8 billion yuan (250 million dollars) in expanding its plant in Hangzhou (Zhejiang province, China), whose capacity will be increased by more than half.

The first phase of the plant was launched in December 2023, and the enterprise is now capable of producing up to 10 million passenger car tires.

The plant is considered one of the company's most high-tech sites and is characterized by a high level of production efficiency and automation, and ZC Rubber notes that compared to traditional enterprises, the use of labor and energy consumption have been reduced.

In Hangzhou, the company produces tires from its flagship lines, including those for electric vehicles, which are sold both in the Chinese and international markets.
