ZC Rubber will build a new tire plant in China

Zhongce Rubber Group (ZC Rubber) has announced plans to build a new passenger tire plant in Jingtan, Jiangsu, China, with an investment of around 5 billion yuan (700 million dollars).

Chinese media note that in fact, ZC Rubber launched a project to create a new production facility in Jingtan back in 2012, and at that time, the expected investment amount reached 8 billion yuan, but due to a change in strategy, the plans were put on hold.

According to the new project, the plant will produce 25 million passenger tires per year, including tires for electric and hybrid vehicles, and the production will be characterized by a high level of digitalization and environmental friendliness. In the summer of 2024, the company also announced the expansion of its enterprise in Hangzhou.

Currently, ZC Rubber is the largest Chinese tire manufacturer, and the company is now building two plants abroad - in Indonesia and Mexico. The ZC portfolio includes such brands as Goodride, Westlake, etc.
