ZC Rubber has started building a plant in Mexico

On August 6, ZC Rubber held a ceremony to officially launch the construction of a plant in Saltillo, Mexico, which will facilitate the Chinese tire manufacturer's global expansion and "enable us to meet the growing needs of the North and Latin American markets".

The facility will be located in the Alianza industrial park, 250 km from the US border, with an investment of over $500 million, and the new production site will cover an area of 600,000 m2. The first phase is expected to be launched by the end of 2025, and initially, the plant will be able to produce up to 13.5 million passenger car tires and 50,000 tons of OTR tires.

The company notes that the plant will utilize cutting-edge digital technologies, and will feature a highly flexible production system, automation, and energy efficiency. A new warehouse complex will also be built in Saltillo, aimed at improving logistics and customer service efficiency, and localized production is expected to help ZC Rubber substantially expand its presence in the region.

"With the launch of our new production, our competitiveness in the American market will become even more significant, and we look forward to close cooperation with our partners, which will help us tap into the potential development of the American market," said Haoyu Shen, Vice President of ZC Rubber.

Earlier, ZC Rubber also announced that it would build a tire plant in Indonesia.
