Yuanxing to build motorcycle tyre plant in Indonesia
Sichuan Yuanxing Rubber has announced a tender for the construction of a tire plant in the Batang Integrated Industrial Park (KITB) in Central Java (Indonesia). Construction is scheduled to be completed within 300 days after commencement, and the facility will produce tires for two-wheel vehicles, primarily motorcycles. Yuanxing will become the third Chinese company, after ZC Rubber and Sailun, to launch tire production in Indonesia.
Yuanxing produces tires for motorcycles, ATVs, and passenger cars, and the Indonesian plant will be the company's first manufacturing site outside China.
According to Chinese media, Indonesia is one of the world's largest markets for motorcycles and scooters, offering significant opportunities for tire manufacturers. Having a local production facility is expected to enhance Yuanxing's competitiveness, including through reduced logistics costs. The tires are planned to be sold not only in Southeast Asia but also in other regions worldwide.
