Yokohama raises forecast for 2026 again

Yokohama Rubber reported that in the first half of 2026, the company's revenue rose 10.4% year-on-year to $4 billion, while operating profit doubled to $690 million. Both figures marked record highs for the tire manufacturer.

Amid rising sales, Yokohama decided to raise its revenue forecast for 2026 by 1.5% to $8.3 billion, while the projected operating profit increased by 4.2% to $1.26 billion. Earlier, the company had already improved its annual forecast following the first quarter results.

Yokohama noted that from January to June, tire sales in the consumer aftermarket grew, supported by strong demand for large-diameter tires and other high-margin products in Europe. In the OE sector, revenue increased due to high sales of vehicles originally equipped with Yokohama tires in the Japanese market.
