Yokohama Rubber collaborates on development of new uses for rubber seeds

Starting from September 2024, Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. as an official partner participates in the research project, which aims to reduce losses in the collection of natural rubber by using seeds of the Para rubber tree.

The project "Technology for utilizing rubber seeds to produce environmentally friendly products to combat global warming and plastic pollution" brings together representatives of government agencies, industry and academic circles of Japan and Thailand, and the Japanese government provides support under the "Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development" (SATREPS) program.
