Yokohama Rubber will supply eco-friendly tires for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Yokohama Rubber will supply 18 vehicles with environmentally friendly tires for the 100th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado, USA. The anniversary climb will start on June 26, 2022.

Yokohama Advan A052 tires, made with a large amount of recyclable materials, will be supplied for the competition, the sidewall of which uses butadiene rubber derived from petroleum instead of butadiene rubber derived from biomass.

Through this agreement, Yokohama hopes to learn more about how tires behave in hill climb conditions and accelerate the development of its tire technology to reduce the environmental impact of its products.
