Yokohama develops partnership with Mercedes-AMG

Yokohama Rubber has announced that starting from June 2025, it will supply 20-inch ADVAN Sport V107 tires as original equipment for the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe. Since 2024, the coupe has been equipped with 19-inch V107 tires, and now the 265/35ZR20 and 295/30ZR20 tire sizes have been homologated for the front and rear axles, respectively.

Yokohama ADVAN Sport V107 is a UHP class tire that is part of the Japanese manufacturer's flagship ADVAN lineup. The tires were developed in collaboration with leading premium vehicle manufacturers and tested at Yokohama's testing facility on the German "Nürburgring", which is considered one of the most challenging racing tracks in the world.

The tires for the CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe were also created with the participation of the automaker's specialists and, thanks to their convex profile, which provides even load distribution in the contact area with the road, as well as optimized sidewall stiffness, they provide improved handling on dry pavement and fuel efficiency. Additionally, the braking performance of the tires has been improved, and Yokohama emphasizes that the V107 also guarantees optimal safety on wet roads and features increased resistance to wear. For Mercedes-AMG, tires with the special "MO1" marking are supplied.

Currently, Yokohama also supplies tires for a number of other Mercedes-AMG models, such as the EQS 53 4MATIC+ and GLB 35 4MATIC.

In accordance with its medium-term business plan, Yokohama is currently increasing the share of high-value-added products in its passenger car tire sales, including through the expansion of supplies of ADVAN series tires for new vehicle equipment.
