Yokohama supplies tires for GAC crossovers
The automotive company GAC has chosen Yokohama tires for the factory equipment of the Trumpchi S7 and Hyptec HL crossovers, which were released to the Chinese market in March and April 2025, respectively, the tire manufacturer's press service reported.
Trumpchi S7 is a hybrid developed, among other things, as a family car, and its equipment includes Yokohama ADVAN V61 tires of size 255/50 R20, which are part of the flagship ADVAN line of the Japanese brand. Yokohama says that the tires are distinguished by a balance between energy efficiency, improved handling characteristics, and acoustic comfort, and are optimally suited for both city trips and long journeys, and the design has been refined for use on large-sized vehicles. ADVAN V61 tires are already being supplied for the equipment of a number of premium crossovers and are also available on the secondary market.

In turn, Hyptec HL is a luxury crossover that is produced in electric and hybrid versions, and Yokohama equips it with ADVAN Sport EV V108 tires of size 255/50 R20, which are specifically designed for vehicles of this type. The composition of the rubber compound has been optimized to reduce rolling resistance, the layer of polyurethane foam inside the tire (Silentfoam technology) reduces the noise level, and the "E+" marking on the sidewalls indicates that the tire is adapted to the characteristics of electric cars.

Currently, Yokohama is working to increase the share of high-margin products in sales volumes, including through the expansion of its presence in the OE segment, and in China, the company is paying particular attention to supplies of tires for the equipment of electric vehicles and other vehicles on new energy sources (NEV).
