Yokohama recalls defective truck tires

Yokohama began recalling truck tires Yokohama 126S, produced from January 2023 to October 2025, due to a manufacturing defect in the sidewalls and shoulder areas that can cause cracks to form under certain conditions, leading to air leakage, according to the Federal Road Office (ASTRA) of Switzerland.

Last October, Yokohama announced a recall of tires from the same batch in Japan, meaning the defective products were supplied to several countries. At the time, it was noted that due to inadequate manufacturing instructions, tires of the 385/55 R22.5 size had incorrectly positioned sidewall components, creating a risk of crack formation. 

Yokohama 126S steer tires are designed for regional and long-haul transportation.
