Yokohama begins cooperation with BYD

The company Yokohama announced that it continues to expand its presence in the Chinese market's primary equipment segment and has signed its first supply agreement with the BYD concern. The first BYD vehicle to be equipped with tires from the Japanese brand is the new hybrid crossover Sealion DM-i, which was introduced to the Chinese market in July of this year.

For the Sealion DM-i, Yokohama ADVAN V61 tires are supplied, which were specially developed for vehicles of this class and not so long ago also approved for the Trumpchi S7 crossover from the Chinese company GAC. According to the tire manufacturer, the ADVAN V61 has balanced characteristics and combines a high level of traction with improved energy efficiency and low noise, making them suitable for use in both urban traffic and during long-distance travel.
