Yokohama will be released in Russia

The Japanese company Yokohama has begun constructing its automobile tire manufacturing plant in Russia. The plant will be located in the Lipetsk region, with an investment cost of 12 billion rubles.
On March 23, the first stone was laid in the construction of the Yokohama plant in Russia. Yokohama Rubber Managing Director Shinti Suzuki reported that the first tire will roll off the future plant's conveyor belt as early as summer 2011. By 2014, the company plans to produce over 100,000 tires per month.
The start of construction at the Lipetsk plant followed Japanese traditions. Japanese guests first made an offering to ensure the construction would take place without incident, and then conducted the "Kagami-Biraki" ceremony, breaking open the lid of a sake barrel with wooden mallets.
The Yokohama plant in Lipetsk will employ over 14,000 workers.
