The Yangwang U9X on Giti tires became the fastest production car in the world
Just over a month ago, the Chinese company BYD announced that the Yangwang U9 Track Edition supercar had become the fastest electric car in the world, accelerating to 472.41 km/h on the German ATP track, and it was helped by the exclusive semi-slicks Giti GitiSport e.GTR2 Pro, developed in conjunction with the automaker.
BYD did not stop at this achievement, and on September 14, on the same track, the Yangwang U9 Xtreme (U9X) supercar broke the speed record among all production cars, surpassing the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+. A speed of 496.22 km/h was achieved, with German driver Marc Basseng at the wheel, and Giti again provided the same semi-slicks, and in addition, the company's engineers were present at the test site and monitored the condition of the tires to ensure they were in the best condition to set a new record.

During the development of tires for extreme speeds, Giti applied a number of innovative technologies, and, for example, by modifying molecular chains, "reinforced" rubber compounds with increased tensile strength and fracture resistance were produced, and the design uses ultra-strong aramid fibers that increase the load-carrying capacity of the tires. In addition, the tire profile is optimized for even load distribution, which reduces heat and energy losses, and special additives to the rubber compound, as the manufacturer claims, increased the level of grip by 38% and expanded the working range of the tires, and also reduced the tire warm-up time by 60%. Particular attention was paid to reducing deformations at super-high speeds of up to 500 km/h, and the "bionic" design of the sidewalls improves lateral stability, response to driver actions, and handling in turns.
The Giti GitiSport e.GTR2 Pro tires are certified to CCC (China) and ECE (Europe) standards and are legal for use on public roads.
