A new Firestone tire for agricultural technology has been released

Firestone Ag (part of the American division of Bridgestone), has introduced a new radial tire, the Firestone Destination Cart, designed for grain carts, which helps maintain soil health while handling changing trailer weights.

According to Bill Duvall, the tires feature a reduced tread depth and increased voids between lugs, and a larger footprint area minimizes soil compaction, while compact, widely spaced blocks also reduce soil disturbance when hauling heavy loads during harvest season. Additionally, the special tread pattern also improves even wear, ride comfort, and self-cleaning when driving on wet, slippery roads.

The Firestone Destination Cart is designed with Advanced Deflection Design (AD2) technology, which allows it to withstand increased loads at lower pressures, increasing the contact area and reducing soil compaction. In addition, the "premium" rubber compound helps prevent damage when driving on stubble, and the limited warranty is valid for nine years.

"This is the ideal tire for harvest use, designed to handle the extreme load cycles typical of this season," said Tony Orlando, president of Bridgestone's agricultural tire division in the US and Canada. "It will complement our line of tires for modern grain carts and will be available in one of the most popular sizes,"

The tires will premiere at the Farm Progress Show 2024, which will take place in late August in Boone (Iowa, USA), and are already being released in the IF1050/50R32CFO size.
