All-season Giti tires homologated for Volkswagen Crafter

All-season tires Giti have made their debut in the European market's primary equipment segment, the Singaporean company reported, which has begun supplying commercial Giti GitiVanAllSeason LA1 tires for the Volkswagen Crafter.

GitiVanAllSeason LA1 was developed using the AdvanZtech technology platform, with the main priorities being to improve parameters such as controllability, acoustic and mechanical comfort, reliability, durability, and fuel efficiency, Giti adds.

The tires are made from a special "all-season" compound that enhances grip at various temperatures, and in both sizes for the Crafter - 205/70R17C 115/113R for the front and 285/55R16C 126N for the rear axle - received the highest "A" rating in the European classification for high traction on wet roads, while the 3PMSF (three-peak mountain snowflake) marking indicates their effectiveness on snowy surfaces.

Giti and VW Commercial Vehicles have been cooperating since 2020, when the summer commercial tires Giti GitiVan HD1 were homologated. All tires for the German concern were developed at Giti's scientific and technical center in Hanover, Germany, and tested at the company's complex in the MIRA technology park in the UK, as well as at test sites in Germany, Spain, and Finland.
