Volkswagen Atlas equipped with Hankook tires

Hankook Tire will supply tires for the large SUV Volkswagen Atlas in the North American market, where it remains consistently popular thanks to its versatility and spacious interior, the tire company reported. 

The Atlas will be fitted with Hankook Dynapro HPX tires, specially developed for this type of vehicle and considered all-season in regions with mild climates, as indicated by the M+S marking. Dynapro HPX tires belong to the enhanced comfort category, with reduced interior noise achieved through notched groove bottoms and a multi-step tread pattern, while special attention has also been paid to improving ride smoothness. Additionally, 3D GripKontrol Sipes are placed in the central tread area to increase tread block rigidity and stability, while a special rubber compound combined with an enlarged contact patch and even load distribution extends tire service life. 

Hankook and Volkswagen have been cooperating for over 20 years, and currently the company supplies tires for models such as the Volkswagen Tayron and Tiguan, as well as high-performance Cupra models: Tabascan, Terramar, Born, and Raval. In addition, tires under the secondary brand Laufenn are supplied to the German automaker, fitted on the VW Polo and Golf, Seat Ibiza, Arona and Leon, as well as the Skoda Octavia.
