Goodyear's contribution to increasing the realism of virtual racing

Goodyear is contributing to the increased realism of virtual racing through its partnership with Studio 397, the developer of the hyper-realistic rFactor 2 simulation engine. The company said the collaboration has led to a significant breakthrough in reproducing the behavior of racing tire models in a virtual environment.

Such developments allow e-sports club drivers to get closer to the experience of their real-life counterparts than ever before. The mechanism, which uses thousands of data points to create an exciting and authentic experience, is used in the virtual Le Mans series, for which Goodyear is an official partner.
