Vidachim will retain 164 jobs

18 march 2015
The Bulgarian tire manufacturer, Vidachim, which produces quality and practical products, announced last month that it would be reducing the number of jobs. In total, 314 employees were to be laid off.

However, this month the situation has taken a turn for the better. The planned reduction in staff has been revised and halved. As a result, instead of 314 jobs, Vidachim will now lay off 150 people. This information was made public by the factory's representatives on Monday, 16.03.15.

On the one hand, this prospect is quite positive. But it is unknown how long the tire manufacturer will be able to stay afloat. The fact is that the tires produced by the factory have low competitiveness and demand. This is the main reason why the company is facing bankruptcy.

Currently, the Bulgarian authorities are providing assistance to the enterprise, which is in a difficult economic situation, at the state level. The factory management met with the country's energy minister, after which the decision was made to reduce the number of layoffs by 150. However, the situation remains tense.
