In Japan, Dunlop truck tires are being recalled
Sumitomo Rubber Industries has announced the recall from the Japanese market of 239 Dunlop SP602 cargo winter tires in size 265/70 R19.5, which were manufactured between the 17th and 21st weeks of 2024.
It is reported that due to insufficient adhesion of the rubber to the metal cord in the sidewalls, bulges, cracks, and air leakage may potentially occur, and in the worst case, there is a risk of the tire failing. The appearance of the defect in the company is explained by "inadequate control over equipment during the production process".
“We will take immediate action and make additional efforts to prevent similar incidents in the future, and do our best to regain customer trust,” the company said.
