In Turkey, new winter tires Goodyear are presented

Goodyear introduced new winter tires Goodyear WinterCommand for passenger and WinterCommand Cargo for light commercial vehicles in Turkey, which were specifically designed for the local market, and are produced in certain sizes at the company's Turkish factories, ensuring faster product availability and production flexibility. 

«The new lineup was created with Turkey's unique climate, local driving habits, and market needs in mind, and Goodyear combined its research and development expertise with the benefits of localized production, — said Octavian Velcan, head of Goodyear's Turkish division. — The release of the new tires confirms the company's desire to be a leader in its industry in all markets where it operates».

The passenger tire WinterCommand (in 2019, a tire with the same name was introduced in North America, but a new model was developed for Turkey) has a directional tread pattern designed for effective braking on snow and optimal control on wet roads. Additionally, the lightweight construction helps to save fuel, and a new symbol appears on the sidewalls, indicating that the tires have been adapted for use on electric vehicles. 

The light commercial tire also features a V-shaped design that accelerates water removal from the contact patch, and Goodyear adds that the tires' benefits include good fuel efficiency and high durability. (Interestingly, the available images show the tires with a "Made in Serbia" marking, although Goodyear does not have factories there.)

In total, the new tires will be released on the Turkish market in 56 sizes, which "will significantly expand Goodyear's range of winter tires and allow better satisfaction of the needs of all drivers in the country".
