In Turkey, a new tire factory will be built

In the city of Havza (Samson province, Turkey), a new tire plant worth $500 million will be built, which will be a Turkish-Chinese joint venture with a staff of around 3,000 people, Hedef Halk reports, citing the words of Havza Mayor Murat Ikiz.

The Chinese partner is Mobility KSX, the complex will be located on a 100-hectare site, and the Havza municipality has recently preliminary approved the allocation of land for the project implementation.

"Last week, we, together with the governor and the manager of the Havza SEZ, visited the tire plants in Çankırı and Kırşehir [Sumitomo and Petlas respectively] and made sure of the great contribution they make to the economic development of the regions where they are located," Ikiz noted, adding that the new investment project will be one of the largest for the Samson province.

"Thanks to the new investments, we will be able to significantly increase employment in our region. The tire plant, which will supply products from Havza all over the world, will make a significant contribution to our economy," the mayor said.
