Toyo Tire has announced the release of new summer tires Toyo Proxes LuK II on the Japanese market, specifically designed for minivans and replacing the Tranpath LuK model introduced in 2013.

"In Japan, there is a high demand for compact cars, and minivans are particularly popular due to their spaciousness and convenience in everyday use," says Toyo. "At the same time, such vehicles have a high center of gravity and are prone to tilting, so we were the first to develop tires specifically for this type of vehicle, which can provide improved stability and also optimize uneven wear."

According to Toyo, compared to the previous generation of tires, the key advantages have been preserved, while the braking efficiency on wet roads has increased by 12%, and rolling resistance has decreased by 9%, which means that both safety and economy have been improved.

In the production of tires, the T-Mode design technology was used, which made it possible to create an asymmetric pattern, the zones of which perform different functions, improving handling on both dry and wet surfaces. In addition, a new additive was introduced into the rubber mixture, which improved the dispersion of silica (the Nano Balance technology was used, which makes it possible to change the properties of compounds at the nanolevel), resulting in reduced rolling resistance, improved braking performance on wet surfaces, and increased durability, and the dispersant is also partially made from environmentally friendly materials of natural origin.

The Toyo Proxes LuK II tires will be offered in four sizes, from 155/65 R14 to 165/50 R16.
