In the VW/Audi summer tire test, there were three winners at once
The German edition of Gute Fahrt conducted a test of summer tires and published the results, naming several winners at once. Note that this automotive magazine traditionally considers products from Volkswagen and Audi companies, so the tested tires were designed for vehicles of these brands.
A total of 10 models of tire products, marked 225/45 R17, were involved in the test. To conduct the test, they were alternately installed on Audi A3 and VW Golf cars, which were then thoroughly driven on the Italian Pirelli test circuit in Vizzola.
As a result, three favorites were discovered at once. These were the tires from Dunlop, Hankook, and Pirelli companies. We are talking about the SP SportMaxx RT, Ventus S1 evo2, and Cinturato P7 Blue models. These tires scored the same number of points and received an "excellent" result. The next position also had three winners - products from Continental, Goodyear, and the Nokian brand. We are talking about the popular SportContact 5, EfficientGrip Performance, and Nokian Line models. These tires received a "very good" rating.
Bridgestone's products - the Potenza S001 tire - slightly lagged behind them, receiving a "good" rating. The SU1 Nexen N'Fera and Kumho Ecsta Le Sport tires finished last, with their results rated as "satisfactory".
