In the USA, more than 4000 Accelera SUV tires are being recalled

PT. Elangperdana Tyre Industry (EP Tyre) is recalling 4,196 Accelera Omikron A/T off-road tires in size LT265/65R18 from the US market, manufactured from the 13th week of 2020 to the 21st week of 2024 at the company's plant in Bogor (West Java, Indonesia)

It is reported that in June 2025, EP Tyre received a letter from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), stating that during testing, delamination of the sidewall near the bead area was found. After that, the company studied the results of its own tests and reported that the tires had passed the tests before entering the market, as well as two additional tests in 2022 and 2023, however, for safety reasons, it was decided to recall all Omikron A/T tires of the specified size.

EP Tyre also emphasized that they have no data on any incidents related to the recalled tires.
