Will roads in Russia soon be built from waste?

It has recently become known that in the Russian Federation, they want to massively apply secondary resources (VMP) for the construction of federal highways.

A memorandum has already been signed by Rosavtodor together with the Russian Environmental Operator (REO).

In the near future, it is expected that in road construction, workers will start using such materials as: rubber crumb from old tires, secondary polymers and compost that is formed from food waste. This news was announced to the public by Denis Butsaev, the head of the REO.
