In Russia, a record demand for tire fitting has been recorded
In 2025, the winter tire replacement season in Russia started earlier than usual, and in September, the demand for tire fitting services increased by 13% year-over-year, and in October, a record growth of 273% was recorded, according to Izvestia, citing data from the Contour business ecosystem and the international Fit Service auto service network.
The growth in bookings at auto services has been observed since the last week of September in the Siberian, Ural, Far Eastern, Volga, and North-Western federal districts.
According to analysts, the average check for auto service services in September was 12.6 thousand rubles, which is 12% more than in August and 19% more year-over-year. At the same time, the check for tire fitting services decreased by 1% (to 9.6 thousand rubles) compared to September 2024.
As noted by Oleg Bachmanov, Director of Marketing at Fit Service, this year the prices for tire fitting services have increased below the inflation level - about 3-4% across the country - but in 2026, a significant increase in auto service prices is expected due to the growing tax burden on businesses.
From August 15 to September 15, according to experts' calculations, car owners spent over 25.4 billion rubles on goods for personal vehicle maintenance, which is 11% more than in the summer period. The sales of auto components on marketplaces have grown the most, and the demand for tires and disks has jumped by 68.6%.
In September, the most popular tire brands on the two largest marketplaces were domestic Viatti, Kama, and Ikon, and tires under the Kapsen, Sailun, and Satoya brands are also in demand. The revenue of sellers before the start of the season doubled: from 10.2 million rubles in the period from July 15 to August 15 to 21 million rubles from mid-August to mid-September, and the average check was around 8 thousand rubles.
According to data from the National Association of Automobile Parts and Components (NAPI), over the year, from September 2024 to September 2025, the average prices for premium winter tires increased by 8.6% to 27.7 thousand rubles. Summer tires became more expensive by 1.6%, to 28.8 thousand rubles, and all-season tires - by 1.3%, to 22.7 thousand rubles.
Over the month, from August to September, the cost of premium winter and all-season premium tires increased by 0.5% and 4.2%, respectively, while summer tires became cheaper by 0.2%.
