In Russia, the share of online tyre sales is growing rapidly
According to data from the Center for Research of Prospective Technologies (CRPT, operator of the "Honest Sign" marking system), the sales structure of the Russian tyre market is changing rapidly. In 2022, online sales channels accounted for only 3% of total passenger car tyre sales; in 2023 this figure rose to 7%, in 2024 to 11%, in 2025 to 16%, and in the first five months of 2026 it reached 34%. Currently, one in three passenger car tyres in the country is purchased online, reports Prime.
CRPT notes that online tyre sales grew by 121.1% over the year, while sales through traditional channels decreased by 13.8%. "Consumers are moving online for a wider selection, the ability to quickly compare prices and specifications, and the convenience of ordering large-sized items with delivery to their home or garage."
The trend is even more pronounced on marketplaces; for example, Wildberries reported nearly a fivefold increase in demand for tyre products by unit volume. At the same time, traditional stores maintain their positions in the premium tyre segment and remain in demand among customers who require expert consultation, tyre fitting services, and warranty support.
Consumers' shift to online channels has also been confirmed by Cordiant, which estimates that over 60% of its retail sales are now online. Marketplaces have become the main growth driver, accounting for more than one-third of the market in 2025.
