At Kama Tyres, the results of the half-year were summed up

Nizhnekamsk tire complex Kama Tyres has summed up the results of the first half of 2024 in terms of sales of truck tires with a all-steel cord (ASC) structure, and, as reported, the most popular tires are those under the Kama brand with rim diameters of 17.5 and 22.5 inches.

"Today, every second truck tire produced in Russia is manufactured at Kama Tyres' facilities," said Timur Sharipov, Executive Director of Kama Trading House. "Our ASC products, designed for equipping trucks, commercial and passenger vehicles, are in high demand among car owners due to their reliability and wide range of operating capabilities, as well as increased mileage."

The rating of the most popular Kama Tyres ASC truck tires is led by the Kama NT 201 model in the size of 385/65 R22.5. These tires were developed specifically for use on free-rolling axles of trailers and semi-trailers used in local and regional transportation, and are produced using special fillers that increase the wear resistance of the rubber compound. In addition, the tread pattern with closed shoulder sections increases the contact area with the road, and the longitudinal channels and spiral-shaped lamellas are responsible for quick water drainage.

The second place in terms of sales volume was taken by the Kama NT 202 tire of size 235/75 R17.5, which is also designed for trailers and semi-trailers. New components have been added to the rubber compound, which have increased both traction and mileage, while the four deep longitudinal grooves remove water from the contact patch, and the reinforced shoulder and central zone of the tread increase the tire's lifespan.

The top three most popular Kama Tyres tires also included the Kama NR 202 in size 315/70 R22.5 for the drive axle of tractors used in local and regional transportation. The tread grooves have been widened to improve self-cleaning in difficult weather conditions, the rubber compound with silica content has been optimized to increase elasticity and strength, and the reinforced sidewall and carcass design increase the tire's resistance to damage and load capacity.

Kama Tyres also offers products under the Kama Pro brand, of which the ASC tires Kama Pro NR 203 in size 315/70 R22.5 (for the drive axle) are in greatest demand on the market, and in the budget brand Forza, the regional trailer tire Forza Reg T of size 385/65 R22.5 has become the sales leader.
