In Ikon named the reasons for the rise in price of winter tires in Russia

Winter tires for passenger cars on the Russian market have risen in price by an average of 9-11% over the year, told "Gazeta.Ru" in the press service of Ikon Tyres.

The company notes that price changes depend on both the size and model of the tire, as well as the segment it belongs to, and in Russia, 15- and 16-inch tires are still the most in demand, although due to the popularity of Chinese cars, the demand for larger tires has grown - from 18 inches.

The main reasons for the increase in the cost of tires in Ikon are called "the dynamics of raw material prices, changes in logistics costs and the ruble exchange rate, an increase in transaction costs associated with the import of raw materials and finished products, in particular from China, as well as the general increase in costs of manufacturers and sales companies".

In Ikon, at the same time, they emphasize that the increase in the cost of winter tires last year was lower than the level of actual inflation.
