In Hunan, a new tire factory will be built

The Shanghai Huaqing Petroleum Development Group holding plans to build a new tire plant in Hunan Province, southeast China. The corresponding agreement was signed on September 11 with representatives of local authorities, and the planned investment amount is 9.8 billion yuan (1.39 billion dollars).

The enterprise will be located in the economic development zone of Yongzhou, and the project will be implemented in several stages. The design capacity of the plant is 21.75 million tires per year, and at the first stage, it is planned to produce 7.25 million tires annually. At this stage, the amount of investment will be equal to 4.5 billion yuan (640 million dollars).

Huaqing notes that the plant will implement a number of "technological breakthroughs", for example, a flexible modular production system, fully electric vulcanization presses (nitrogen will be used), seamless winding of reinforcing materials and other key components, as well as dynamic simulation technologies.

Not so long ago, ZC Rubber announced the construction of a similar large plant in China, which thawed the project to create an enterprise with a capacity of 25 million tires per year in Jiangsu.
