Triangle will build a plant in Cambodia

The Cambodian tire industry is developing at a rapid pace, and in recent years, Chinese companies such as Doublestar, ZODO, Sailun, and Firemax (and just the other day, a plant from Wanli was also opened) have decided to localize production in the country, and now Triangle has been added to this list.

The project plans to invest around 3.2 billion yuan (460 million dollars), and the plant's capacity will be 6 million passenger and 1 million truck tires per year. For Triangle, which, by the way, once planned to open a plant in Russia, this will be the first production site outside of China.

A new subsidiary will be established to implement the Cambodian project, the expected construction period is 1 month, and it is scheduled to start in March 2026. It is expected that the new plant will bring the company 2.6 billion yuan (370 million dollars) in revenue per year.

Triangle notes that the new production will allow the company to increase the value of its brand and competitiveness, and will not affect the work of other plants. Currently, Triangle owns five tire plants, all of which are located in Weihai, and their total capacity is around 27 million tires per year.
