Toyota replaced Michelin with Bridgestone

The Formula 1 team "Toyota" starting from the next season will use tires from the Japanese company "Bridgestone", reports "Reuters". On Friday, a long-term agreement was signed between the Japanese "stable" and "Bridgestone".
"After the successful completion of the 2005 season, we strive to rise even higher and we feel that "Bridgestone" perfectly meets our future needs in Formula 1 and is the ideal partner for our 2006 car. Toyota is serious about winning in Formula 1 and we feel that switching to Bridgestone is the best choice in the long term", - said the boss of Toyota, Tsutomu Tomita.
"Toyota" has already become the third team that will use the services of "Bridgestone" in the upcoming season. In addition to them, the clients of the Japanese tire manufacturer will be "Ferrari" and "Williams".
Recall that in the 2005 championship, "Toyota" used tires from the French company "Michelin". According to the results of the season, the Japanese team took fourth place in the Constructors' Cup, 12 points behind the third-placed "Ferrari".
