Top manager of Li Auto spoke about Chinese tires

Recently, Tan Jing, the manager of the flagship product line of the Chinese company Li Auto, a manufacturer of electric cars and hybrids, communicated with users of the Weibo social network and, in particular, answered the question of whether it is planned to purchase locally produced tires for vehicle equipment.

The answer was honest, but not very patriotic. "I don't see such an opportunity in the short term," Tan wrote. "Because, in my personal opinion, domestic tires still significantly do not meet the existing standards in terms of efficiency and noise, and Li Auto has very high requirements in this regard."

It should be added that in China, local tire companies still widely cooperate with automakers, and their partners include international brands.
