Titan introduced a new tire for forklifts

Titan International has introduced its first loader tire with a steel cord construction, named Carlstar Ultra Guard Steel, designed to help the company cover all segments of specialized equipment tires.

Titan notes that the new tire was released in response to the growing demand for steel cord tires for harsh operating conditions, including construction sites, and that puncture resistance has been increased by more than 150% compared to traditional diagonal tires. Additionally, the tread pattern with increased blocks improves load distribution, increasing the service life of the tread, and the elastic sidewalls have a positive effect on shock absorption and handling.

Carlstar Ultra Guard Steel also features an increased contact area and tread depth, which should provide the necessary traction and strength in harsh conditions, while the built-in rim protection is designed to prevent damage and reduce repair costs - Titan emphasizes that this feature is either absent in competitors or provided, but with minimal efficiency. Moreover, the radial construction increases the load capacity while reducing the pressure level.

"We listened to our customers and studied the offers of other manufacturers to develop a tire that would raise the bar in terms of durability and operator comfort," said Travis Little, General Manager of the Carlstar and Carlisle tire divisions for agricultural, construction, and industrial equipment.

The novelty is already available for pre-order, and the start of sales is scheduled for February 2026. The tire will be produced in sizes 10R16.5 and 12R16.5.
