Tesla is recalling nearly 700,000 vehicles due to an issue with the TPMS

Tesla has begun recalling 694,304 vehicles in the US due to an issue with the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). According to the recall notice, the "TPMS warning light may cease to illuminate between drive cycles", which creates the likelihood that the vehicle will be operated with tires having incorrect pressure, thereby increasing the risk of an accident.

The recall will affect Tesla Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck vehicles, and the defect will be remedied through a software update.

According to BizzyCar, in the first three quarters of 2024, Tesla accounted for 21% of vehicle recalls in the US, and most issues were also resolved through software updates.
