Tercelo introduced new tires for electric trucks

At the recent International Tire and Auto Parts Exhibition in Guangzhou, China, the company Tercelo Tire Group officially introduced its new development - the Tercelo TES01 tire, designed specifically for electric trucks used in long-haul transportation.

The company stated that the Chinese electric truck market is currently "experiencing explosive growth," and tires for this type of vehicle have increased requirements, as they must have reduced rolling resistance to increase the distance between charges; optimally handle high torque, which can accelerate tire wear; and have increased load-carrying capacity considering the weight of heavy electric trucks.

Taking into account these requirements, Tercelo engineers developed a new-generation rubber compound that reduces rolling resistance by 20-25%, making the tires Class B in terms of fuel efficiency according to the European classification. Additionally, new high-strength materials are used in the manufacture of the carcass, which, in combination with a modified breaker construction, allowed increasing the load-carrying capacity by 13%, and the average tire life by 15.6%, while the tread pattern, optimized using finite element modeling, helped increase the level of road grip by 5-8%, improving stability at high speeds.

A slogan "One charge less per trip" was coined for the new product, and Tercelo notes that the tires can increase the range of electric trucks by 10% and improve delivery efficiency by 10-15%, as well as provide savings of over 5,000 yuan (52,000 rubles) per vehicle per year.

"Tires increase the time between charges, reducing the time required for cargo delivery, reducing costs, and improving the efficiency of fleets involved in intercity logistics operations," Tercelo said.
