Suzuki will replace tires on 1688 motorcycles

Suzuki will replace potentially faulty tires on 1688 DL800DE motorcycles produced between March 15 and November 20, 2023, according to a statement from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It is reported that cracks and other damage may occur in the rear tire of some motorcycles, and in the worst case, with prolonged use, there is a risk of tread separation, which increases the risk of an accident.

The cause of the defect is still being determined. The tire supplier is the Japanese Sumitomo Rubber Industries.
