Sumitomo releases retro-designed tires

Sumitomo Rubber Industries is introducing to the Japanese market new Dunlop SP4 tires, which feature the same tread pattern as the model introduced in 1975, while the sidewall design has been redesigned to "fit the aesthetics of classic cars". 

According to the company, the tire design "conveys the atmosphere of the era", while in all other respects the tires are made using modern technologies and provide an optimal level of safety. The new product will be presented during a special car ride, which will take place in Tokyo and will be dedicated to classic Mini brand cars, for which the Dunlop SP4 tires are particulary intended.

The tires will be produced in four sizes with a wheel diameter of 10 and 12 inches.
