Sales of spark plugs under the Cordiant brand have started

"Cordiant" has announced the start of sales of spark plugs, which until April 2023 were produced under the Bosch brand, and are now available under the Cordiant brand. The first batch is already being offered by LLC "Engels Spark Plugs" (formerly LLC "Robert Bosch Saratov"), and in the near future, the products will appear in retail stores, as well as in service stations and marketplaces.

Spark plugs are produced for almost all cars, both Russian and foreign, including Chinese brands, and spark plugs for motorcycles and water transport, garden equipment, etc. are also offered. According to "Cordiant", "advanced technologies and engineering solutions are used in production, which once made the Bosch concern one of the leading manufacturers of spark plugs".

The company emphasizes that Cordiant spark plugs are manufactured at a full-cycle enterprise, i.e., both material development and testing are carried out on its own equipment. The product line includes products made using nickel and yttrium-based alloys, as well as platinum and iridium alloys, which can increase the service life of the products. Also available are multi-electrode spark plugs with increased resource, which reduce fuel consumption. The manufacturer claims that "an additional advantage of Cordiant spark plugs is the V-shaped groove on the side electrode, which improves spark formation and simplifies the ignition of the air-fuel mixture".

Currently, the plant in Engels is capable of producing up to 100 million spark plugs per year, and the enterprise has its own research and development department, which creates both new spark plugs and materials for their manufacture.

Until 2023, the plant produced goods under the Bosch brand, after which the production of spark plugs under the Meteor brand began. Last autumn, the enterprise came under the management of "Cordiant", which is now owned by "Severgroup", as well as the former Bosch plant.

"After the departure of the German concern Bosch from the Russian market, the equipment, technologies, and competencies were preserved, which guarantees buyers the same quality: Cordiant spark plugs are in no way inferior to the familiar Bosch models," the company says. "To confirm this, it is worth noting that the Engels plant is certified according to ISO 9001, GOST R 58139, and the international automotive industry standard IATF 16949".
