Cordiant employees will appear in a new feature film

Employees of the Cordiant tire plants are taking part in the filming of the movie "Ivan Shrugged," which the company calls "the main industrial film of 2026." The project is supported by the Cinema Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, with leading roles played by well-known actors Julia Peresild and Pavel Derevyanko. The premiere is scheduled for next year.

The film is positioned as an adventure comedy, with a plot centered on "18-year-old Ivan, who against his mother's hopes of him entering a prestigious medical institute, goes to work at a factory and finds his true life path there." The production will feature not extras, but young industrial workers—over 200 people from different regions of the country.

According to Cordiant, "tire workers will become the heroes of one of the film's key and most emotional scenes, which highlights the importance of the modern generation of workers in domestic industry."

"As a manufacturing company, we fully support cultural initiatives aimed at raising the public status of workers and engineers—people who directly drive the development of the country's industrial potential," said Dmitry Gorbachev, CEO of Cordiant Holding. "In the film 'Ivan Shrugged,' the factory and the people who work at an industrial enterprise symbolize a source of spiritual strength and inner dignity. We are proud that our employees have become part of such a significant, socially important project, and we believe in the film's success."

Filming is taking place at the Kirov Plant, one of the largest industrial sites in St. Petersburg.
