SIBUR has developed a unique brand of rubber for Russia

SIBUR has added a new brand of functionalized butadiene-styrene rubber (BSK) DSSK-628V to its assortment, which has no analogues in Russia, reports Plastinfo. 

According to Ivan Baldin, an expert from SIBUR's "Transport" industry division, "the brand has successfully passed pilot-industrial tests, as well as homologation at SIBUR's partner enterprises and is recommended for use in the production of tread rubber for premium passenger and light truck tires in the HP, UHP segments".

It is noted that the key characteristics of the new rubber brand are ensured due to the functionalization of the elastomer with polar groups that improve interaction with the filler, as well as a high proportion of vinyl links and optimal styrene content.

The new brand is designed for use in the production of tires that will be distinguished by improved fuel efficiency and wear resistance, as well as high traction on a wet surface.
