Vredestein tires have been included in the MINI Cooper equipment
The BMW Group has approved the summer, all-season and winter tires Vredestein for the original equipment of the new MINI Cooper in three- and five-door versions, as well as in the convertible version. This was reported in the press service of the Indian Apollo Tyres, which owns the tire brand.
In particular, the Vredestein Ultrac summer tires (in size 215/40 R18) have passed homologation, and the all-season Vredestein Quatrac Pro (215/45 R17) and winter Vredestein Wintrac Pro (195/50 R17) can also be chosen. All tires are manufactured in Europe and will be supplied to the BMW plant in Oxford (UK).
This is not the first agreement on tire supplies for BMW for Apollo, and the company, for example, has been equipping the BMW X1, X2 and 5-Series with Vredestein Ultrac tires in size 225/55 R18 since last year. In addition, tires of this model are supplied for the BMW X1 (in size 205/65 R17) and the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer (205/65 R16, 205/60 R17 and 225/50 R18).
“The expansion of cooperation with the BMW Group speaks to our desire to create tires with various sets of characteristics that meet key requirements, that is, ensuring a high level of safety, environmental friendliness and customer satisfaction,” noted Ive Pulicken, Vice President of Apollo.
Vredestein Ultrac tires are distinguished, among other things, by improved properties on wet roads, which is confirmed by the "A" rating on the Euro label, while the all-season Quatrac Pro is designed to provide good handling and short braking distances in any conditions (in regions with a warm climate) and have repeatedly occupied high places in independent European tests, and the Wintrac Pro tire is designed for mild winters and has a Euro rating "B" for grip on wet surfaces, while the pattern with diagonal grooves and numerous lamellae is designed to increase safety on snow-covered surfaces.
